![]() Change begins with learning . . . What we're reading: His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, Ethics for the New Millennium. New York: Riverhead Books, 2001, 1999. Study Guide [pdf] for Ethics for the New Millennium by the Los Altos Study Group of the Dalai Lama Foundation. Study/Discussion Guide [pdf] prepared by John P. Catalini, Instructor, UCSB Writing Program Share your opinions, thoughts, and questions about Ethics for the New Millennium or on issues of ethics of community in general. Ethics and the importance of ethical behavior in developing a sense of community is a topic of great interest and concern in our world today. The range of issues are diverse, from those raised by developments in science and medicine to issues of leadership in government, business practices in the global economy, environmental concerns, and how we as individuals interact with each other. We would like to use these conversations to talk more about these issues as a community. Post a question for the Dalai Lama: What would you ask the Dalai Lama?? Thinking about and discussing ethics, and the choices we make, might help us to make changes in our daily lives, and perhaps, by this, in the world around us. What do you think? . . . Bring your ideas and take part in the discussions. ![]() Wednesday, February 25, Noon Serials Reading Room, 1st floor, UCSB Davidson Library "Ethics and Research" Discussion led by: Prof. John SW Park, UCSB Asian American Studies Prof. Teresa Shewry, UCSB English Dept.
